Turkish Bath

For centuries people of Anatolia enjoyed bathing in public baths not only for cleaning but also for health purposes as well as to be a part of social gathering. During the Ottoman period many baths were constructed especially at the capital cities of the empire namely Bursa, Edirne and Istanbul. During the 17th century there were 200 public bath houses in Istanbul.. Back in those years medical science recognized the importance of water and how it contributes to the health of mankind. In Turkish baths bathing is accompanied by massage and scrubbing the body which is recommended to discard the toxins for physical and mental soothing. The famous Turkish baths in Istanbul are the 16th century Cemberlitas Bath and the 18th century Cagaloglu Bath. Both are enjoyed by the local people as well as by the visitors coming from all over the world. We as incoming ground handling agent offer the baths as an incentive event for large groups coming to Turkey during which time the bath is used exclusively where they are pampered with traditional washing, scrubbing and massaging by the "tellak" with cocktails served afterwards enhanced by belly dancer performance.

Special wraps to cover parts of the body are used or if preferred bathing suit can be worn.
